The Little Epicurean

Photography FAQ

I only shoot with natural light.  I don’t use a flash or use any fancy studio lighting.  I use white foam boards to reflect light and control shadows.  All the food I photograph is real and edible!

Can I use your photographs in my blog?

I am honored that you’d like to use my photographs, but please do not publish any of my images, recipes, or content without prior written permission and approval.  If you want to feature ONE PHOTO in a round-up or collage on your website, all I ask is that you please provide credit and link back to my original post.

What type of camera do you use?

As of November 2013, all my photos have been shot using a Canon 5D Mark III.  I use two lenses.  I alternate between a Canon EF 24-105mm f./4 and a 50mm f/1.4.  Prior to that, photos were shot using a Canon Rebel T1i.

Where do you take your photos?  Do you edit your photos?

I only photograph with natural light.  I adjust the amount of light that comes in using sheer white curtains.  I edit my photos using Adobe Lightroom 4 (I haven’t upgraded to the 5th edition yet).  I use Photoshop CC to resize and add text to my photos.
