Blackberry Gin Fizz

- 5 fresh blackberries
- 3 sugar cubes or 3 teaspoons granulated sugar
- ½ oz fresh squeezed lemon juice
- 2 oz gin of choice
- 2 oz club soda or sparkling water
- additional blackberries for garnish
Place blackberries in a glass with sugar. Muddle together until sugar cubes have dissolved.
Add fresh squeezed lemon juice. Stir together. Add ice to glass. Follow with gin. Top with chilled club soda.
Garnish with additional fresh blackberries. Serve as is and advise drinkers to stir cocktail to distribute blackberry puree at the bottom of the glass.
- One sugar cube is equal to 1 teaspoon granulated sugar. Add additional sugar if you prefer a sweeter drink.
