Blackberry Gin Fizz

A summer berry twist on a classic cocktail. Personalize your gin fizz with your favorite fruits this summer.

Ingredients

  • 5 fresh blackberries
  • 3 sugar cubes or 3 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • ½ oz fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 oz gin of choice
  • 2 oz club soda or sparkling water
  • additional blackberries for garnish

Instructions

  • Place blackberries in a glass with sugar.  Muddle together until sugar cubes have dissolved.
  • Add fresh squeezed lemon juice. Stir together. Add ice to glass. Follow with gin. Top with chilled club soda.
  • Garnish with additional fresh blackberries.  Serve as is and advise drinkers to stir cocktail to distribute blackberry puree at the bottom of the glass.

Notes

  • One sugar cube is equal to 1 teaspoon granulated sugar. Add additional sugar if you prefer a sweeter drink.
