Garlic and Chive Cream Cheese Spread

Garlic and chive cream cheese spread is incredibly delicious and so easy to make. Use this versatile spread on bagels, sandwiches, crackers, or use as dip for vegetables. It's great on turkey sandwiches or chicken salad sandwiches in place of mayo!

Ingredients

Garlic and Chives Cream Cheese Spread:

  • 8 oz cream cheese full-fat, brick-style
  • 2 Tbsp chopped fresh chives
  • ¾ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Assembly:

  • seeded baguette or bread of choice
  • olive oil for toasting
  • Persian cucumbers thinly sliced

Instructions

  • In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, beat cream cream until smooth.  Add chopped chives, garlic powder, and black pepper.  Mix until fully incorporated. Scrape down bowl as needed to ensure thorough mixing.
  • Transfer cream cheese spread into an airtight container and keep stored in the fridge.
  • For toasting: lightly coat sliced baguette with olive oil. Warm in the toaster over until crispy.

Notes

Ingredients:
  • For best results, use full-fat brick style Philadelphia cream cheese.
  • Green onions may be used in place of chives. 
Storage: Keep cream cheese spread in an covered container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
