Strawberry Sorbet Bellini

Add a scoop of homemade strawberry sorbet to Prosecco to make this festive strawberry bellini! Speed up the process and your favorite store bought sorbet.

Ingredients

Strawberry Sorbet

  • 1 ½ pounds strawberries rinsed, hulled, sliced in half
  • juice of ½ lemon
  • ½ cup granulated sugar more if strawberries are not ripe/sweet

Sorbet Bellini

  • sccop strawberry sorbet
  • 4 oz Processo or any demi-sec sparkling wine, chilled

Instructions

Strawberry Sorbet:

  • Place strawberries in the bowl of a food processor or blender. Add lemon juice and sugar. Pulse into a puree. Let puree chill in fridge until cold.
  • Churn puree into ice cream maker according to your unit's instructions. Once the sorbet has reached a soft serve consistency, transfer into an airtight container and let rest in the freezer for at least 1 hours before serving.

Assembly:

  • Add a small scoop of sorbet into a fluted champagne glass. Top with sparkling wine. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use your favorite store-bought sorbet! These flavors work well with prosecco wine: strawberry, peach, raspberries, and mango sorbet.
