Read our disclosure policy. This fig prosciutto pizza is a quick and easy meal, perfect for busy weeknights. Autumn officially starts in three days. Although the weather outside doesn’t quite agree with the calendar, I’m ready. It may be too early, but I’ve already started listening to Christmas music. (I know. I know, it’s only September. But hey, I’m excited.) Fig Prosciutto Pizza The start of autumn marks the end of fig season. I’m saying goodbye to this delicious, glorious fruit with fig prosciutto pizza. Figs are delectable in any application. Be it raw, jammed, or dried, figs are super tasty. They’re especially great when roasted. This pizza brings out the sweetness of the figs. Paired with the creamy, silky mozzarella and salty prosciutto, this one is destined to become a favorite! This is a quick and easy meal perfect for busy weeknight dinners or lazy weekends. It’s also amazing for little get togethers with friends. P.S. This goes fabulous with a cheese board or charcuterie plate! Pizza Dough Try this easy homemade pizza dough. I suggest making a double batch and storing the extra dough portions in the freezer. You’ll have homemade dough ready anytime! Of course, you may also use store-bought pizza dough. And in a pinch, try this 2-ingredient pizza dough. It is a simple mixture of self-rising flour and Greek yogurt. While it won’t have the same chew and fluffiness as yeast dough, it allows you to make pizza in a flash! Fig Prosciutto Pizza with Fresh Mozzarella and Balsamic Glaze Quick and easy meal. Erin @ The Speckled Palate says: September 20, 2016 Like you, I’m so ready for the fall and winter, though I haven’t busted out the Christmas music just yet. And this fig pizza? What a brilliant way to say goodbye to the summer. Now to get my hands on some figs… I hope y’all are able to find a good first dance song and that the wedding stress calms. I remember that… and like y’all, we had a really tough time choosing our first dance. We ended up with “Heavenly Day” by Patty Griffin. It’s not a song either of us listened to a ton before, but every time I hear it now, it makes me smile. I hope you can find something equally fitting! <3 Reply
