Honey Whiskey Lemonade is the sophisticated sister of the classic whiskey sour. This spiked lemonade with combines whiskey and homemade thyme lemonade with honey.

Honey Whiskey Lemonade

A sweet, tart, and refreshing beverage perfect for those hot summer days and nights!

Double, triple, or multiply the recipe as needed. Serve up a large batch for you next summer gathering.

Honey Whiskey Lemonade ingredients

Whiskey Lemonade Ingredients

  • Lemonade: I highly recommend using this spring thyme lemonade recipe. Otherwise, any homemade lemonade or store-bought lemonade works just fine!
  • Whiskey: Jack Daniel’s Honey Whiskey is a great choice. There are so many honey bourbons to choose from! Or, use whatever whiskey or bourbon you happen to already have.
  • Honey simple syrup: This is simply simple syrup mixed with honey.
  • Garnish: Fresh thyme and sliced lemons for garnish
  • Ice: Plenty of ice! This whiskey lemonade tastes best when it’s chilled!

  • 1. Fill cocktail shaker half full of ice cubes. Add 5 tablespoons of whiskey.

2. Add 1/2 cup of lemonade to shaker.  In a small bowl, mix together 1 tablespoon simple syrup and a splash of honey.  Add honey syrup to shaker.

*NOTE: If honey is very thick, microwave it for a couple seconds to thin it out.

  • Grapefruit Cinzano is reminiscent of a Negroni, but lighter and much brighter in flavor. It mixes together vermouth, gin, grapefruit juice, and sparkling water.
  • Strawberry Tequila Sunrise is a spin on a classic. Fresh strawberry puree is used in place of grenadine syrup.
  • A tropical twist on margarita. Calamansi margarita features tequila, orange liqueur, fresh squeezed calamansi juice, and simple syrup.

I suggest making it since its so easy. Bring to a boil 1 cup water and 1 cup granulated sugar. Cool to room temperature and keep it stored in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

If there is anything I would rather drink then neat whiskey is definitely going to be Honey Whiskey Lemonade. The sweet taste really compliments the original taste of whiskey.
