Blueberry mojito float takes a traditional mint mojito and adds a pop of flavor with the addition of blueberry sorbet. Farewell summer. Popsicles, ice cream, no-bake desserts. It was good while it lasted. Halloween and the holidays are around the corner. In the meantime, let’s savor the last bits of summer as long as we can. I’ve been sharing boozy cocktail floats all summer long. These are cocktails with the addition of fruit sorbet! Thus far, we have enjoyed: Summer Cocktail Float Series! Cucumber Gin and Tonic Floats Greyhound Cocktail Floats Watermelon Margarita Float This recipe is the last boozy cocktail float in the series- blueberry mojito float! Frozen Mojito We’re using last week’s blueberry sorbet to make this super summery blueberry mojito float. The sorbet turns this drink into a frozen mojito. You can either float the blueberry sorbet scoops, or blend it all together for one slushy beverage. The base begins like any other mojito. You’ll need fresh mint leaves, some sugar cubes, fresh squeezed lime juice, and light rum. Add mint leaves, a couple sugar cubes, lime juice, club soda, and light rum in a cocktail shaker. Muddle everything together. Strain into a serving glass filled with a few scoops of blueberry sorbet. Voila! That’s it. You’re done. Sit back and enjoy. Other fruity mojito options Mojito pairs well with a variety of fruits. Make a mango mojito using fresh or frozen mango. Other tropical options include: pineapple, coconut, passion fruit, or guava. Use strawberries to make an ideal springtime mojito! Blueberry Mojito Float This float takes a traditional mint mojito and adds a pop of flavor and color with the addition of blueberry sorbet. Prep Time: 5 minutes minutesTotal Time: 5 minutes minutes Servings: 1 (multiply as needed) Print Recipe Pin Recipe Rate Recipe Ingredients8 pieces fresh mint leaves, torn1 Tablespoon granulated sugar or 3 sugar cubes1 oz fresh squeezed lime juice (2 tablespoons)2 oz light rum (4 tablespoons)2 oz club soda, chilled (4 tablespoons)3 scoops blueberry sorbet* (see notes)fresh mint, to garnishblueberries, to garnishlime wedges or slices, to garnish to garnish Instructions In a cocktail shaker, add fresh mint leaves and sugar. Use a muddler to crush the sugar and mint together. Add lime juice, light rum, and club soda. Stir to combine.Add 3 scoops of blueberry sorbet to a serving glass.
